Online Stampers Luncheon

On Saturday we had our Sydney & Surrounds Online Stampers Luncheon at Parramatta Leagues Club.
It is always a hoot as we talk all year online & so meeting face to face is fantastic. There are always new people who we have yet to put names to faces.
There weren't as many as in past years but it made it easier to mingle.
We each brought a lucky dip & paid $10 for the privilege of choosing one for ourselves. The money went towards the drought affected farmers in Nth Western Victoria.
We had members come from the above mentioned area, Wollongong, various Sydney suburbs, the central coast & Newcastle area.
I was honoured when Linda gave me the Art Doll you can see here. Linda is an extremely talented and generous artist.

ATCs

I used Random Gatherings on these ATCs, I just love the French connection. The base is polished stone.

Glimmer Marbling

Another cool technique from Technique Junkies!

Background Whimsey

This is a fun technique. I mixed the layouts for this one, some have the technique on the background, other on the foreground.

Up & Over

Two simple cards tonight, Technique is from TJs latest Newsletter.

Pulled Glimmers

Another creation inspired by Technique Junkies. I coloured the image with Copics.

Walnut Resist

Made a couple of cards today using Walnut resist. I painted the ink rather than sprayed it which gives if a more even appearance. I painted the pears with Copics after I have put the ink on. Both have metallic finish which is not obvious on the scans.

Blog candy

Go on over to http://charmedcrafts.blogspot.com and check out the gorgeous giveaway!

Birthday Card

Love this card, found it on another blog......

Faux Velvet

Made with baby wipes. Spritzed with Starburst Stains or Glimmering Mists. Attached to cardboard then run through the cuttlebug.

Sympathy Card

This was an extremely simple card to put together. I used drawer liner offcuts for the background.

Antique Wallpaper

Technique Junkies latest Newsletter is out and this is one of the techniques. Lots of fun. Run your paper through your cuttlebug. Swipe 2 or 3 distress ink pads over the raised area, spritz with water to get the colour to run into the valleys. Then run through the cuttlebug again without the folder to flatten the embossing.

Faux Stained Glass

Had fun making these Faux Stained glass cards. I used my Copics to colour.

Paris & Chartres

We spent our last day in France in Chartres, a rural village about an hour from Paris. It was a lovely peaceful little town of around 40,000 people! It was a perfect ending to an absolutely wonderful trip. We must thank Academy Travel for looking after us so well, they were fantastic.
