Cream & Gold

This fortnightly challenge was Cream & Gold with texture & embellishments! I must have been mad!!!! I have seen some exquisite cream & gold cards & ATCs in the past and thought I would give it a try. It is OK but not very creative!

Bees Wax

Today I tried my hand at Bees Wax! Trouble is I could only get bleached not pure, so it does not have the aged affect and I don't have any wax crayons, that I can think of, so it isn't quite what I would have liked. However it is a start!

Clear Stickers

I am cheating a bit today, another sticker card. It is a clear sticker of a beautiful peacock I think, put onto an alcohol ink background, matted with my nestibilities. Again I used my Stampin' Up "Cheesecloth" background & Hero Arts word stamp.

Medallion Cards

These two cards are made with medallion stickers. The are simple and easy to make although one does need to be careful when cutting round the outside.

I used my Stampin' Up background stamps "Lace" & "Cheesecloth". As well as Hero Arts word stamp and the black one.

Red Hat

This card is for a friend of mine who is in a Red Hat Club. Now when she told me this I thought it was local name for a group of friends, I've since found out that it is a world wide group for ladies over 50 or almost!

I went to the Creative Living Expo today and found lots of clear stickers, the hat, they are great fun. I have put mine onto an alcohol ink background. Then I touched it up around the band, edge & flower with red & yellow Copic Markers. I stamped a mixed up alphabet image & With Love in the cardstock. Ran some yellow c/s through the cuttlebug and put it all together.

Gifts

I decided for a gift for a dear friend for Christmas that I would make her some gift cards, as she is wonderful in supporting people in many ways including cards. She chose four styles, these are two of them. The rest well come later.

I do wish I could get things straight when I stick them down!!! Oh well, I guess it just proves they really are handmade!!!

Crystal's 1st Birthday Card

February 14th is one of my great niece's birthday and in 2008 she will be one year old. I am not into cutesy cards but what else could I do for our precious little one? I used a Stampin' Up set, Copic Markers and my Nesties.

I am running a small fortnightly challenge on one of my online groups at the moment.
This is what I came up with today, I sent a sketch to the group and the only specific thing they have to do is use green.

My head is off with the pixies today so mine isn't very creative.

I used Copic Alcohol ink markers to colour the dress, recommended by Stampowl. Of course I had to use my Nestibilities to do the matting.

ONE WORLD ONE HEART

This is a world wide event to bring bloggers together, you can read all about it at One World, One Heart on this addy: http://oneworldevent.blogspot.com/

I have not made anything for this event as I wasn't aware of it up until now. However I am offering a range of ATCs that I have made which include various techniques.

If you would like a chance to win, please leave a comment below this post and you will be in the draw for the prize. You must have a blog to enter into this contest. The winner will be drawn and announced here on Valentines Day. Good Luck and thanks Lisa for organising this great event, it is so "feel-good" to be involved in this event.

Serviette ATC

I am having a bit of trouble formatting my postings, so if they are a bit skewiffe please forgive me.
I am also trying to attach links to my favourite blogs, but not very successfully....
I received my Serviette ATC swap with Paperarts back today.

My friend told me she knew which one was mine before she checked. When I asked if it was the artwork or the sentiments which gave it away her reply was "both". I hate cooking, it is the biggest durge of each day to get the evening meal!

Anyway this is mine. Serviette background, I used my cuttlebug for the lattice work at the top and my oval nestabilities for the scolloped mat.

Red Cuttlebug ATC

I finally took the plunge late last year and hosted my first swap, and of course it had to be RED!!

It was a fantastic success with 26 participants. The guidelines were simple, red & cuttlebugs had to be used. The variety was fantastic.

Purple, Black & Gold

I love these colours!! I was in this swap last year and was so happy to be able to use my Cuttlebug, I love the Dandelion die, it lends itself to great things.

Femme Fatale

If I had to say which was my favourite stamp it would be extremely difficult. However this one would be on the list, I have used it on several ATCs I just love everything about her!

The Job of the artist....

ATCs are such a popular way to express one's artistic qualities.
The "Job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery." Francis Bacon
was made in '06. I love the whole stamp impression, stamped onto Twinkling H2Os with Black Brilliance.

Christmas Jigsaw

I have participated in a number of Jigsaw Swaps in the last 12 months.

They are lots of fun. Generally 12 people are involved. We all buy a 12 piece jigsaw puzzle, we nominate our themes, ie colour, texture etc. We send one piece to each person and we all work on each other's pieces. These are the end results.
