One World One Heart

Well it is all happening again. One World One Heart is a great way to get to know other bloggers and to visit like minded people all over the world.

Luncheon

For the last two years I have organised a luncheon for online stampers. As many of us had not met face to face I thought it would be fun to meet in the flesh.
At the first one we had about 23 people and we had a great time.
Last year we had nearly 40 people and it was fantastic.
Ladies had travelled from Victoria, Sth Australia, Queensland as well as far north in NSW as Taree down south past Wollongong, not to mention people from all over Sydney, from as far west at the lower Blue Mountains to Manly in the northern beaches.
Last year I organised show bags and lucky door prizes for all who attended.
This year I am organising a raffle to raise money to purchase items for hampers for the drought stricken farmers in north western Victoria.
One of our members is a farmer in the area and has first hand experience of the difficulties experienced down there. For the last couple of years Mary has been lobbying various businesses to get donations for these people, so a bit of cash input will not go astray.

New cards

I have made these cards up over the last couple of days. They were all images I had stamped up sometime ago but had not used.

The good old cuttlebug folders came in very handy as did the nesties.

BSL Sketch Challenge

This is for the BSL Sketch Challenge. I have stamped onto an alcohol ink background. I do love this stamp, I may use it for an upcoming ATC swap!

Quilted notebook

This was just a fun little project. I used a variety of papers including stamped ones and covered an A4 sheet creating a paper patchwork.

I do love patchwork but would never have the patience to make a cloth one of my own so I guess this is the next best thing!

Christening Card

I was asked to make a Christening card for a friend. I came up with this idea today after another friend gave me some lovely vellum.
I used alcohol inks on the back of the vellum to give it some depth, then had a play with images and my Nesties.

One World-One Heart

One World-One Heart is a fabulous event where we each "call in" on each other via our blogs, say hi and invite others to call in & say hi to us. The event starts on January 19, 2009 and finishes on February 12, 2009 with the give aways.
