Elegant Cards

Two elegant cards. The black & white one was a challenge from Dorothy, she gave us all some DP and we had to create something with it. I used Carolyn's die of the lady's head.
Heather made the cream one at camp & I loved it. She got the idea from Technique Junkies Newsletter Feb/March 2011. Jackie created the original for the Newsletter.

Cards

These are a some of the cards I made at camp. The scans do not do justice to the colours. They all need to be finished but I had a lovely time with Alcohol Inks, Distress Inks & some beautiful images.

No Frills Stamp Camp

Stamp Camp....what an incredible idea....whoever had it is worth their weight is gold!!!!!
I arrived Thursday afternoon and we packed up Sunday afternoon. This one was a No Frills Stamp Camp which simply means there was no tutor, we just got there & did our own thing, sharing ideas and showing off our pieces of work.
A small group of us organised a Shoebox Swap.....that means we all took a small project to share with each other, supplying each other with instructions and whatever was needed. The top photo shows all I made except for the Easy Peasey bookmark which you can see on an earlier post. We made a note stand, card box, ATC, a very tricky card, a gift card holder, a hinged book and a very elegant black & white card which I have yet to stamp on.
The ATC swap was interesting, Niki gave us the elements and we were not to add anything to them except perhaps colour but it must have been in the same colours she had given us. What a great exercise and you can see how diverse our ideas were.
And now I am back to reality.........ho hum!!!!
It was a fabulous weekend with fabulous people!

Well, there were Copics, stamp pads, Golden Gel Medium.......in actual fact I was packing for Stamp Camp, which is why it is actually Monday before I posted!!!!

France

It is almost a year since we had our amazing Europe adventure and I must say my heart is still there. The glorious poppies are in Pere Lachaise Cemetery. An amazing place to visit. This photo was taken by Mick.

Another Flag Book

This is the book I was working on, on Wednesday. Lots of fibres on this one and I much prefer it that way, so I will be adding heaps more to the one I am keeping.
The Photos have appeared in reverse.....story of my life!!!!

WOYWW

Morning all, this array of mess is for another Flag Book, this one for a friend who is very instrumental in organising our Stamp Camps twice a year. I love the simplicityof these books & the WOW factor once they are finished. The flower is made from book pages, made into hearts with Nestibilities and then coloured, in this case with Luminart Shimmering Mist Radiant Rain Cranberry & Pink Grapefruit & a squirt of Starburst Stains Marigold Yellow Orange which gives it that beautiful shimmer. My tags are coloured & stamped, verses stamped & ripped accordingly, was hoping to complete it today but have been called into work so it will be finished another day.

Madonna

I just love this image, I borrowed it from Rob a few weeks ago. I used Brilliance Lightning Black and it certainly seems to work with both silver & gold cardstock.
Unfortunately the company that made it are no longer in business, so I probably never own my own stamp.

"Dream Weaver"

This was a bit of an experiment. I stamped the same image on two pieces of cardstock, cut them & then weaved them together. Very fiddly but a bit of a different end result.

WOYWW

What's on your workdesk Wednesday.
This sounded like fun & I thought it might get me back into the groove of blogging more regularly!
Today I am kinda in the middle of making some cards and trying out an idea.
The backgrounds are mostly distress inks, with some Darkroom Door stamps & a lovely floral stamp from Rubber Stamp Co.
The pest man is here today so I am going to have get out of the house for a couple of hours, but hopefully I can come back & play some more soon.
